New Statewide Champion
Table Steaks East on October 28th at 6:35 PM crowned a new Colorado State Champion in Texas Hold'em. Geoff Werner competed against Larry Davis head to head for over an hour before Geoff came out on top with pocket 8's vs. Larry Davis' nut flush draw. Geoff came into the Semi-Final Round the previous weekend with only ONE WIN to his credit. He was able to outlast many players on the opening day who were stacked with FIVE wins. At the Final tournament, audience members were heard yelling "One Win Geoff" to urge their player on.
Denver Poker Tour 2006 Player of the Year
Howard Narlinger was voted the Denver Poker Tour 2006 Player of the Year by poker enthusiasts and Denver Poker Tour management staff as well. Howard was picked for his poker ability as well as his style, etiquette, and general all around "Coolness" he brings to the game. Howard donated the $500.00 cash prize that was included to the Denver Dumb Friends League and Denver Children's Hospital.
The Denver Poker Tour will be giving away at least 12 Seats to the 2007 World Series of Poker in this coming session including at least eleven (11) $1000.00 WSOP Satellite Buy-In's and at least one (1) $10,000 Main Event seat!
If you play and win at Table Steaks East or MVP's Sports Bar & Grill, you will compete in your own satellite event for a $1000.00 seat at the 2007 World Series of Poker. All standard Denver Poker Tour rules apply. Every time you win at each location, your certificate can be used to play in this game. Table Steaks East and MVP's will each be holding their own $1000.00 WSOP Satellite tournaments in conjunction with the Denver Poker Tour. More wins equal more chips!
